Ward Will Likely Sit Week 14
Mike Tomlin promised possible sweeping changes to the Steelers lineup for their next game in Cleveland Thursday night. A few changes will be necessary because it appears Hines Ward will not play because of a late-game hamstring injury from the Steelers' 27-24 loss to Oakland Sunday. That means Limas Sweed will move up on the depth chart and either he or rookie Mike Wallace will start Thursday. Ed Bouchette, of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, reports Pittsburgh Steelers WR Hines Ward apologized to teammates Wednesday, Dec. 2, after talking with QB Ben Roethlisberger at length about comments made during an NBC interview he said was misinterpreted. Ward said, We talked. I'm not going to get into what was specifically said. The issue's been resolved. I apologized to the team today for having to even answer questions about this.
