Tennessee Titans at San Francisco 49ers
The Titans may not be very good this year, but Chris Johnson is a stud. He carried the Titans on the strength of his two touchdown, 135 yard rushing and 25 yard receiving performance.
Frank Gore had 158 total yards a touchdown and appears to be all the way back from his injury. Vernon Davis turned in another nice game with ten catches for 102 yards.
San Diego Chargers at New York Giants
Vincent Jackson is quietly becoming a fantasy stud. He hauled in two touchdown catches to give him four straight games with a score.
The Giants can’t seem to run like they used to and it seems to force them out of what they want to do. Their defense finally played better, but it still wasn’t enough. Eli Manning threw two touchdown passes, but only had 215 yards passing. Steve Smith caught a touchdown on 57 yards receiving.
Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints
The Panthers looked like they were going to pull an upset early, but they don’t have any offense outside of DeAngelo Williams. Williams scored two touchdowns in the first quarter and finished with 149 yards rushing and 12 receiving.
Drew Brees has started slowly the last few weeks, but the results are generally the same. He passed for 330 yards in the comeback win, but only one touchdown. Robert Meachem hauled in Brees’ lone touchdown pass on a 54 yard catch and run.
Detroit Lions at Seattle Seahawks
The Lions got on top of the Seahawks early thanks to two Matthew Stafford touchdown passes. Unfortunately for the Lions, Stafford also threw five interceptions leading to twenty five unanswered from Seattle.
Calvin Johnson had two catches for 27 yards in his return.
Matt Hasselbeck did not have as good a game as his owners would have expected against the Lions. He had over 300 yards passing but only one touchdown and an interception. Julius Jones had 114 total yards and a touchdown.
