Week 8 Fantasy Highlights: Late Games

Vikings Packers FootballMinnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers

Brett Favre lit up his old team for four touchdowns. Adrian Peterson scored a touchdown on 97 yards rushing and added 44 yards on one catch.

The Vikings defense sacked Aaron Rodgers six times.

Even though Rodgers spent most of his time on the ground after getting sacked, he put together a good fantasy game. He threw three touchdowns and 287 yards. He was also the team’s leading rusher with 52 yards.

Greg Jennings had 88 yards receiving and caught his first touchdown since week one.

Carolina Panthers at Arizona Cardinals

The Panthers ran wild on the Cardinals. DeAngelo Williams rushed for 158 yards. Jonathan Stewart rushed for 87 yards and two scores. Steve Smith even got in on the fun and scored his first touchdown of the season on a fifty yard reception.

Kurt Warner did his part to help the Cardinals lose in one of his infamously horrible games. He had six turnovers, including five interceptions and one fumble.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans

This game featured two of the best rushing performances of the year. For his part, Maurice Jones-Drew had 177 rushing and two touchdowns on only eight carries. The rest of the squad didn’t show up.

Vince Young got his first start and didn’t have to do too much thanks to Chris Johnson. Johnson had touchdown runs of 52 and 89 yards. He finished with 228 yards rushing and eleven yards on two catches.

Oakland Raiders at San Diego Chargers

Oakland did as Oakland does. They couldn’t move the ball on offense and could only muster three Sebastian Janikowski field goals and a Justin Fargas touchdown run.

The Chargers didn’t thrash the Raiders as I thought they would, but they did enough to win easily. LaDainian Tomlinson scored two touchdowns. Vincent Jackson had 103 yards and a touchdown.
