New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles
The Giants defense got scorched early and late and never got anything going on offense. Kevin Boss turned in a nice effort with 70 yards receiving and a touchdown reception. Brandon Jacobs’ owners have to be displeased with his lack of touchdowns as Ahmad Bradshaw stole another short yardage score.
Donovan McNabb threw for 240 yards and three touchdowns. DeSean Jackson, Brent Celek and Jeremy Maclin all had touchdown catches.
Brian Westbrook did not play due to the concussion he suffered last week.
Denver Broncos at Baltimore Ravens
Kyle Orton was overmatched on the road against a motivated and desperate Ravens team. The Broncos only score came on a Knowshown Moreno one yard touchdown run.
For the Ravens, Ray Rice continues to be the spark plug of the offense. He scored a touchdown and had 84 yards rushing against a solid Bronco defense. Joe Flacco hasn’t had a great game in a couple weeks, but he is still a solid back up.
Miami Dolphins at New York Jets
Without Ted Ginn’s two kick off returns for touchdowns, this game would not have been close. The Jets held the Dolphins to 104 yards of total offense.
Mark Sanchez put together a nice game after some recent clunkers. He had two touchdowns and 265 yards passing with no interceptions. He hooked up with Dustin Keller and Braylon Edwards for the scores.
San Francisco 49ers at Indianoplis Colts
Frank Gore ripped off a 64 yard touchdown run early in the game and finished with 91 yards rushing and 43 yards receiving. Alex Smith didn’t have a great game in his first start this year, but did find Vernon Davis for an eight yard touchdown, his third straight game with a score.
Reggie Wayne had a huge game despite his groin injury. He had 147 yards receiving and a touchdown. Dallas Clark caught eight passes for 99 yards. Peyton Manning threw for 347 yards, but not one touchdown as Joseph Addai connected with Wayne.
St. Louis Rams at Detroit Lions
Steven Jackson scored his first touchdown of the year and added 149 yards rushing. It was against the Lions, but at least he had a good game against a bad defense.
The Lions were without Calvin Johnson again and he has entered bust territory for fantasy owners due to his poor performance and his inability to stay healthy this year.
Seattle Seahawks at Dallas Cowboys
Seattle kept it close through the first half, but could not hang with the Cowboys for the whole game. Matt Hasselbeck threw for 249 yards and two scores in the loss. One of his scores went to Deion Branch, who scored his first touchdown of the year.
Tony Romo threw for three scores for the third time this year. Miles Austin led the team in receiving for the third week in a row. His numbers were not as gaudy, but nothing wrong with 61 yards and a touchdown. Roy Williams emerged from the wilderness or wherever he’s been to catch a touchdown.
Cleveland Browns at Chicago Bears
The Browns are so bad, they make me angry. Looking at their stats is like watching baby seals get clubbed to death. It is just plain wrong.
Matt Forte found the end zone twice and had a 121 yards of total offense. Jay Cutler did not throw a touchdown pass and saw the Bears offense stall in the red zone on several occasions.
Houston Texans at Buffalo Bills
Ryan Moats came off the bench after Steve Slaton fumbled early in the game. Moats went on to score three touchdowns on 126 yards rushing. He also had 25 yards receiving. Matt Schaub did not throw a touchdown for the first time since week one.
Owen Daniels reportedly tore his ACL and will most likely be out for the season, which could be a big hit for Scaub owners.
The Bills offense struggled yet again. Terrell Owens found the endzone on a 29 yard run for Buffalo’s only score.
