Week 7 Fantasy Highlights: Late Games

New York Jets at Oakland RaidersJets Raiders Football

The Jets running game continues to wreck shop. Thomas Jones  had 121 yards and a score. Shonn Greene had 144 yards and two touchdowns in mop up duty, which started early in the second half. The Sanchize ran for a touchdown and threw for another in a game where he didn’t have to do much.

There’s not much to say about the Raider’s offense that hasn’t been said. Despite the occasional big play, JaMarcus Russell is not a good NFL quarterback. He is supposed to be the Raiders’ franchise quarterback and he got benched for Brad Gradkowski.

Buffalo Bills at Carolina Panthers

Ryan Fitzpatrick filled in for the concussed Trent Edwards and thew a touchdown to Lee Evans who also had 75 yards receiving. Terrell Owens remains lost in the Bills offense and only had three catches for 27 yards. Marshawn Lynch had a touchdown run.

Jake Delhomme threw three interceptions and now has four touchdowns and thirteen interceptions on the year. Steve Smith had 99 yards receiving, but still can’t find the end zone. DeAngelo Williams scored on a 15 yard touchdown run and finished with 139 yards in total offense.

Chicago Bears at Cincinnati Bengals

The Bears forgot to show up for this one. The lone stand out performance was turned in by Devin Hester who caught a touchdown and had 101 yards receiving.

Carson Palmer threw five touchdowns on 233 yards passing. Cedric Benson turned in another huge game against his former squad. He had 189 yards rushing and a touchdown. Chad Ochocinco caught two touchdowns on 118 yards receiving.

Atlanta Falcons at Dallas Cowboys

Matt Ryan threw two touchdowns and two picks in the loss. Michael Turner only had 50 yards rushing, but scored a touchdown for the fifth straight game. Roddy White caught a touchdown for the third straight game.

Tony Romo got knocked around early, but came back with his third 300 plus yard performance. His success was based in large part on the emerging start that is Miles Austin. Austin had 171 yards receiving and two touchdowns. That gives Austin four touchdowns and 421 yards in the last two games. Pick him up if you still can and if you already did, he better be in your stating lineup from here on out.

New Orleans Saints at Miami Dolphins

I don’t know what the over/under was on this game, but if it was 79 and you had the over you won. Drew Brees was held to under 300 yards and had three picks, but he threw for a touchdown and ran for another. Jeremy Shockey had over 100 yards receiving. Marques Colston caught a touchdown for the second straight week.

Ricky Williams was the star for the Fins. He only had 80 yards rushing, but scored three times. Ronnie Brown chipped in with a touchdown of his own which gives him five in the last three games.
