Twitter Hits The NFL

Smash and Dash
So the first pre-season game is past us and Twitter (and all its hype) did not fail. Both LenDale White and Chris Johnson are regular ‘tweeters’ so we knew this might not be a bad test of the ‘Twitter Effect’ on the NFL.

While knowledge like this might make some fantasy manager’s heads spin, you can’t ignore its out there and valuable. Before kick off we learn:

Chris Johnson: Me and lendale (LenDale White) got
left by the bus so we will be gettin to the game late

The reason?

Chris Johnson: Its my fault we got left I was shinning my teeth
with my gold rags I got to look good for the show

The Godfather of NFL Tweeting, Chad Ochocinco, who both regularly refer to as ‘big bra’, dolled out some understanding:

Chad Ochocinco: @ChrisJohnson28 damn I got left by the bus
to one time, caught a cab to the game.

LenDale worries about a lack of escort:

LenDale White: @OGOchoCinco i told @ChrisJohnson28 lets slide
but thats a hour in a cab wit no police

So now we have two starters having to take a cab to a game without an escort. Not earth shattering stuff, but for Manager’s facing game time decisions, knowing one of your players is spending their game prep in a cab in traffic just might push you over the edge! Mining this information is not easy, which is why we do it for you in our Chatter section.

Of course the two had a few things to say post game:

LenDale White: bout this life vol1 take 2. I told yall it starts
today. 1 game 1 win u gotta luv it Cashville
Chris Johnson: On my way back to nashville we gone have a real
good team

Twitter is here and its only going to reveal more about the game and the minds that play it. So far, its looking pretty interesting.

  • these guys have to twitter garbage before a game? maybe they should be focued on the prize instead of what they should be putting out on the internet first? where's your head at fools????? You didnt win the championship last year so i dont see why yo uhave all this free time on your hands.
  • Don't know if I want to mix two addictions:

    Something bad might happen!
