I Got Your Running Back By Committee Right Here

In the NFL, no trend has affected fantasy owners more than the running back by committee system. With every team in the league using the committee approach to some degree, we may look back on the mid-2000’s as the era in which the single back system died and in the process made fantasy owner’s lives a living hell.

Tomlinson and Sproles. AP and Chester Taylor. Michael Turner and Jerious Norwood. DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart. Chris Johnson and LenDale White. Marion Barber, Julius Jones AND Tashard Choice! With the depth in Dallas, soon we’ll be lamenting the days when your stud only lost carries to ONE back up, much less splitting time with two.

AP has to be the clear number one, but make the case for Turner and you wouldn’t get much argument from me. Throw LT in the mix and you might find a hater or two, but anyone who remembers LT’s glory days will hold on to that nostalgia until his downfall is complete. Barber would be elite if he wasn’t splitting carries with the water boy.
